What to know before you start.
What study modes are included?
Practice by topic when you are building the foundation, use short 20-question practice blocks when time is limited, and switch to unlimited practice when one area still feels unstable. The 40-question, 60-minute exam simulation is best used after you have reviewed the concepts and want to test timing and concentration.
How should I use the app if the exam is soon?
Start with a timed baseline rather than guessing where you are weak. Review every wrong or uncertain answer, group mistakes by concept, then spend the next practice blocks on those topics. Finish with another timed run and compare not only the score, but also the number of avoidable mistakes and unfinished questions.
Does the app explain correct answers?
Yes. Each answer includes context that helps you understand the concept instead of simply memorising the correct option. Treat an explanation as a prompt to update your notes: write what rule you missed, why your choice was tempting and which example would prove that you now understand it.
Does a high practice score guarantee exam readiness?
No. A score is one signal, and it can be inflated by remembering repeated questions. Readiness is stronger when you can explain the concept, handle unfamiliar wording, keep the result stable across several attempts and finish the timed simulation without rushing the last questions.
Is ISTQB Quiz an official ISTQB product?
